The Donald Shuts Down the Obama/Hillary Express...But How?

The Donald did it.

Donald J Trump will be the 45th President of the United States.

Most of us are speechless. Half are angry. Half are excited. Either way, the 8 year run of destruction by the Obama and Hillary express has come to a standstill. Yea, President Obama certainly made history just as I said he would back in 2007.  But not quite the one everyone else seemed to envision. Progressive, socialistic philosophies never do and his was no different.

The change we could believe in turned us into a country with 20T in debt, millions more on food stamps, more abortions, more terrorist attacks, more illegals, over the top regulations, less people working, weaker military, a laughing stock worldwide, terrible relations with Israel, incredible increases in health insurance premiums, government corruption (yea he appointed Hillary and the others), moral decay and racial division we haven’t seen since the 60s. That will be Obama’s true legacy and as Trump tears up most of his illegal executive orders that legacy won’t be anything like the one he so desperately hoped for just a week ago.

So much for hope and change. Thank God it’s over…for now.

But how did this derailment of the progressive agenda happen? How did this billionaire…a TV star with questionable character traits, a vulgar defensive tongue really pull this off anyway? He only had one path. An electoral royal flush, and sure enough he pulled it off.

Let’s break it down because it is worth repeating and I want my kids one day to look back on this crazy year and know just what all happened.

First of all, for me, as a Christian, the most important victory in all of this – the ones that have eternal and spiritual meaning – are the fact that conservatives can now restore our bond and partnership with Israel (God’s chosen people that the Bible makes clear we shouldn’t be messing with) and we have a real chance at slowing down abortions. In the end, everything else is small by comparison and worldly in terms of life. The appointment of Constitutional judges instead of philosophical judges in both the lower courts and Supreme Court are going to have an impact for decades and decades. We were one step away if Hillary had one from likely never turning back..

This is where Trumps win is truly a miracle of God.

No doubt about it…Hillary would have lost to just about anyone. She was unlikeable, connected to potential fraud and corruption, had apparent issues of ignorance regarding national security and just seemed to be running for office to complete a personal bucket list item of “first woman President”. Her campaign was marred by her own background (her husband and Bengahzi as two examples), FBI investigations (twice), Wikileaks showing corruption of the highest order, DNC scandals, Clinton Foundation scandals, and overall arrogance. She was setting on a T what should have been an easy homerun win for any GOP candidate.

But then the GOP dropped the ball by trying to push the Establishment likes of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio down conservatives throats and that opened the door to Donald Trump.

And in he walked.

Trump brought his own baggage too. He was almost as bad. Arrogant, mean, rude, and a past marred by divorce and sexist, sexual comments galore. Soon he had woman claiming he sexually abused them in some form or fashion after a video was leaked with him verbally claiming he could do what he wants with almost any woman he desired. He was a successful billionaire, now married to a model who has posed nude, and had a track record of being a tough as nails negotiator – something many Americans thought it was time to try in the Whitehouse. He was truly anon-political outsider. Yet, he once was a supporter of policies proposed by the left and even seen as being close and friendly with the Clintons at one time. His present and his past seemed to provide his biggest obstacles all throughout the campaign and certainly after he was nominated in easy fashion during the Republican Convention. His mess wasn’t as bad as Hillary’s but it certainly wasn’t good either.

People sighed as they appeared to have to choose between the lessor of two evils. Polls all along the way kept telling the story of a decent Hillary win. I followed two measurements to gage what I hoped might happen. One was the USC LA Times poll that had Trump leading by 2 the Friday before he election. The other was following Professor Allan Litchman who’s 12 measurements also had indicated a Trump win. I had been following them for months and their outcomes hadn’t waivered. However, I remained convinced the system was in fact rigged and that Hillary would literally do anything to win it all. Nothing would stop her.

On election night, only a miracle of God could push Trump ahead. Hillary had multiple avenues in which to get to the magic number of 270 EVs. Trump had one. He had to lay down a royal flush and win Ohio, Florida, all of the normal red states and at least one or two blue states. The first few hours exit polls indicated Trump was losing big. My heart sank as I started to process a Hillary administration and her picking supreme court judges that would forever change America. I continued to pray and realized many of our friends were too. The one thing none of the polls or pundits could seem to account for was the “closet” trumpers. How many evangelicals, independents, and conservatives would end up holding their noses and voting for Trump just to spite Hillary and because of the SC judge issues?

Apparently, more than enough.

In what many are calling the greatest voting night in evangelical history, Christians got out the vote and Trump surged past Hillary. By midnight he was only 16 EVs away from winning it all and it was apparent the royal flush he needed was about to happen putting Hillary in the tank for good. About 3am ET it was called. Donald Trump had clearly won the 2016 Presidential Election. He was now President Elect.

Shock waves rumbled around the globe. It was truly a miracle and one I believe God clearly had his hand in making happen. After all, man’s steps are guided by Him are they not?

What Trump did that Tuesday night was historic in all measures and you have to give him the credit he has due. He overcame himself, his mouth and his past. He didn’t have the political experience or know how and he was naïve. He spent his own millions, getting no financial support from the GOP. Hillary outspent him by hundreds of millions. Hillary had the big ground game and political machine. Trump had some volunteers and his family around him. He fought his own fight without a single real celebrity and very few GOP supporters. The entire world was against him including the main stream media that was purely for Hillary and the likes of every celebrity known to man. Yet, all year long his campaign had the momentum, the passion and the crowds. He was truly the underdog and the vain of every single #nevertrump establishment cry baby in the world. And in the end, he crushed them all.

Now here we are. We have all just experienced an election cycle that most are calling the craziest in history and now after eight long years (10 if you really look at it correctly) of the progressive agenda pushing our nation to the brink, we can at least have a chance to slow their agenda down. Trump isn’t going to be the perfect conservative candidate. He isn’t going to suddenly become a polished politician either. He will open his mouth. He will likely make numerous mistakes. But we have to trust in the leadership abilities of the people he looks to surround himself with and hope we can survive the next four years and make some headway in the courts. If that is all he does, it will have all been worth it. But either way, we have to give him the same chance we gave Obama and he got either full years. He’s already said he won’t take a salary and he’s already getting more work done than most Presidential Elects before him. He’s getting after it quickly because much is to be done. I’m not saying his going to be the next Reagan and frankly I don’t care as long as he appoints those Constitutional judges we need that’s good for me.

I preached from the get-go that the Trump movement could be used as a means to an end by the GOP but they failed to recognize it for what it was and foolishly held fast to the belief that the GOP had to be inclusive of more people in order to win. They were wrong in 2010, 2014 and now again. The GOP will be changed forever and for now is dead. Now Trump and his team have to prove all of us right and follow through with the things important to saving the direction of our country. They’ve got a few years to do it. One thing is certain, the liberal agenda pushers aren’t going away any time soon.

But for now, this is one miracle we can all relish and enjoy.

A Form Letter and Stamped Signature from Our Amazing President

It's no secret that I have no love for the man we currently call our President.

Mr. Obama is truly a disgrace to our history as the greatest nation in the world. I heard about this story while in Houston working with clients this week. The story is actually a little old, but the truth of it is still just the perfect example of why I cannot stand this man.

This man's son was killed in action defending our freedoms. President Obama simple sent a autotyped, autosigned impersonal letter to his parents....oh yea, about 4 months later.

This man is gutless and selfish. At least President Bush made every sacrifice a personal thing.

What a sorry excuse of a leader. If you can read this and not be appalled then you are likely just like him. Here you go.Click here to read.

This is Setting Up Perfectly for the Next President

My 2016 prediction.

I stated after our 2012 defeat that I wasn't sure conservatives would likely ever win the White House again any time soon. As Rush says, it's hard to beat Santa Clause.

But this is setting up even better than expected for the liberals and here is my predicted outcome 3 years ahead.

Obama will keep interest rates down by continuing to print money as he has for years now. Nothing will get much better nor will it get much worse, and just as he has now for 6 years, he will simply blame Bush.

As soon as he is out of office the next President will be handed the mess of having to slow down the printing, which will result in interest rates going up and inflation kicking in. We will have to go through a few years of financial mess in order to come out on the other side.

Who will get the blame? The conservative winner who magically won't be able to get away with blaming it on Obama before him.

If a liberal wins in 2016, they will simply just keep printing money, keep blaming Bush and send us into debt hell.

You heard it hear first.

What a perfect game plan.

What Conservatism Is

If most people actually took to the time to get past all the rhetoric and study conservatism, enough people would end up being conservatives to win most elections. The problem is most people don’t study the facts, or hear the facts being told to them and therefore don’t really know what we are all about. Despite the media’s take that we are hate poor people, have no desire to help those in need, are homophobic and anti-women swim in our riches, this simply isn’t the case. Yes, some radical conservatives are right winged nutt jobs who want Jesus as their next President just as some liberals want abortions to be allowed at birth, but most of us are hard working, middle class Americans that love others, give to those in need, hate war, have homosexual friends and love our freedoms and love America.

However, our nation is divided in angst. It has become about which side wins instead of what the country actually needs the most. The media controlled noise has snuffed out the real conservative message or changed it into something it clearly is not.

Yet at the same time conservatives are simply failing at getting their message out and across and that has to change.

So what do we “conservatives” believe and why should conservatism be chosen over the more promoted “progressive” aka liberal ideology? Well, some conservatives won’t agree with me breakdown, but many do and will, so for all it is worth, here it goes.

First thing we have to get past is all the social and religious noise. Break it down into political values first. Then, for those in which those touchy issues matter, bring them into the discussion at that point. Let’s agree on some basics first. If we don’t have common ground here, no need wasting each others’ time with rest.

Role of Government – We believe that the government is to be controlled by the people and not the other way around. Big governments tend to start controlling every aspect of life with more and more laws that end up penetrating every single thing we do – limiting our freedoms and ability to operate as adults. We are seeing that happen in our day more than ever. (i.e. you cannot even make the grown up decision to buy a Big Gulp in NYC anymore). We believe most, though not all, issues should be passed back down to the State level which allows for those in that State to decide its own issues and also provides some variety across the land. If one State wants to endorse or legalize a specific idea or issue, why should the Federal government get in the way? Not all conservatives see it this way however, which is our downfall and I will explain later. But, why can’t States have the power to choose to either endorse or condone issues like abortion or homosexual marriages for example? Most of the time the State should be the one to call the shots unless it is a clear violation of the Constitution such as it was deemed when Lincoln pushed to outlaw slavery. Most don’t even know it was Republican conservatives that set the slaves free.

The government should never become too big for its britches. The smaller it remains the less of your money it takes from you and the more the people control it instead of the other way around. Big governments become like a big business with more and more people on payroll in various agencies and departments in which downsizing is simply not a realistic option. Have you seen government worker benefits, base salaries and pensions? The average employee of the government now makes more than $57,000 a year. In my business I see government retirees with pensions earning them more per year than most would even imagine and in many cases they also have a powerful retirement plan and can also get Social Security payments! Talk about a comfortable retirement! This is why once the government grows, it is nearly impossible to trim it back – ever. And the bigger it gets, the more money we have to have to feed the monster.

The government does have a role in protecting our borders and freedoms, helping our allies and in other areas like infrastructure and roadways along with passing necessary laws to ensure order. But over the last 100 years it has grown to the point of taking care of the needy and the lazy (two different groups in some cases), controlling foods and agriculture, schools, hospitals, transportation, healthcare, space exploration, energy, various social and moral issues, personal habits and on and on and on.

Taxes, Spending and Debt – America was founded by people who wanted to get away from taxes. Most conservatives agree that even a medium size government requires some taxation. It just needs to be fair and limited. Currently more than 47% of all Americans pay zero income tax. Yes, zero. That means outside of sales and state taxes, they contribute nothing. Others pay up to 35% which is likely to go up to 38%, just in Federal taxes. This has nothing to do with “being rich” or not. The media has made it out to be that all conservatives are also rich. This is simply not the case. Every society has rich people – even the most broke nations of the world have millionaires. But even if tax rates were at 70% or higher, those rich people would not be able to support the operations of a large government society for any length of time. Therefore, it has to be moderated. Everyone should pay something. As President Obama became famous for saying “everyone should pay their fair share”. You might be one of those who gets a nice refund every year and therefore pays little to no taxes, but in reality, is that fair? Can’t everyone pay at least something?

The need for tax increases however are directly related to two other big issues: our spending and a big government. If the government payroll is that of a large company, well, the only income it can generate is through taxation since most of its services are free or at cost. Spending also includes the spending required to grow a big government, but it also includes, money promised to lobbyist, unnecessary wars, stupid studies and grants or bridges to nowhere. Bad spending habits means more taxes are needed. This is no different than it is with an household in America. We all have to watch our spending and when times are tough, we need to cut back, not spend more.

Conservatives wants moderate or low taxes for a few specific reasons – it keeps more of the money in the hands of each American, which means consumer savings or spending will increase and it also keeps more of the money in the hands business owners which will keep many of them from raising prices on services or goods and will push more of them to hire more people. Both of these reasons impact the overall economy, which does one important thing – you said it - increases the Gross Domestic Product which means more income to the government through more people paying taxes without having to raise the tax rates. If you raised the rates to begin with, the above simply would not occur.

We believe the national debt has become an emergency as we close in on 17 trillion. Every American should be alarmed and concerned for their future and the future of their children. If we do not want to become another Mexico, Canada or Greece, we need to get this paid down by fixing the tax codes so that everyone pays some, and reducing our spending immediately. Most Americans just think the government can print more money, and it will, but not without a price that could take decades to recover from, if not longer. No parent would put $250,000 on a credit card and then hand that to their child at birth, but that is exactly what each American owes to China and other borrowers right now in 2012. Yes it will take more taxes to pay this off and it will require everyone paying some. But it will also require less government spending and that means cuts that are going to hurt.

Entitlements – As Americans we do believe in the helping each other way of life. If someone is in need, it is usually someone from America that is there to help, whether it be a natural disaster and donations via the Red Cross or in war times as we provide assistance. Helping our own is no different and most conservatives do believe the government can provide some level of assistance to those truly in need. The key word is truly. Programs like Medicare, Medicaid, along with food stamps, unemployment income, disability, housing assistance and now Obamacare all have great intentions for many. The problem is ease of access actually has had the reverse affect on society as more and more people have become lazy, getting more from the government than they would in their own efforts. More than 47% of Americans get some type of benefit from the government and over 40 million are now getting free food from the government. It has gotten to the point now where our government has a website to help new immigrants find free stuff being paid for by your dollars and mine when many of us can barely cover our own household needs. http://www.welcometousa.gov/Government_benefits/default.htm

We believe America should provide assistance when real assistance is needed. But tough oversight and management is needed to avoid fraud and to keep people from “using the system” to milk the government while making no real effort to take care of themselves as so many millions of people do each year.

Jobs, Economy – We believe that jobs and the economy are grown by private enterprise and the push for the American dream to strive for financial and personal freedom. Americans have always prided themselves in being self-reliant and strong with nothing getting in the way of whatever they dream to accomplish. Americans with this mentality are the very reason we have most of the things we have today, including the jobs or careers each of us has. From the telephone to Apple, it is free enterprise that has worked like it has. No government has ever succeeded in trying to play this role - ever. Every single nation that has ever tried has eventually failed or become miserable. When times get tough Americans get tougher and things improve in time. The government can certainly play a limited role when the funds allow, but low unemployment and a strong economy are always a direct result of a robust and strong private sector. Overbearing government fees and regulations, and high taxes have the opposite result. If we want a strong economy and we want more jobs, we have to let them people solve the problem and we believe this cannot be done if the government is standing in the way.

National Security – Because of our amazing people, history and success, many in the world despise and reject us. This isn’t going to change unless we become like them. Because of this reality, we have to be strong and prepared at all times to defend our rights and freedoms and to stand with our friends around the world who embrace our views. This does mean war from time to time. But when we enter a war, we should be quick, exact and done with it, if possible. Some people and some countries just have no desire to be our friend and never will no matter how hard we try, and that is ok. But if they choose to try and harm us, they should pay a heavy, swift price. Nothing is more important than our way of life and the security of our families. American should be respected, if nothing else for fear of the powers we wield in our military. We need not be a bully, but the world needs to know and understand, “don’t mess with us or you won’t soon forget it.”

The Constitution – we believe the Constitution is the Bible of the American way. There are few reasons to ever add to it, and certainly nothing should be taken away. No other document has had more of a positive impact on political human history than what God gave the Founding Fathers in this amazing work. It is our political compass yet as we attempt to water it down more and more with our “modern” view of thinking, our ground becomes less solid. It can and will stand the test of time if we will allow it too. This is why the appointment of Supreme Court judges is so vital to our future. No judge should be appointed that is going to make judicial decisions based on their personal leanings but sadly, on both sides of the isle, this has happened way too often in the recent past. No matter what side of politics we are on, it must remain the constant for future generations or all will be lost.

Social Issues – the issues of the day seem to be centered on homosexual rights and the rights of women to have an abortion. These two topics alone are powerful enough to start nuclear wars. For me personally, I will never vote for a candidate that supports abortion. It’s just that important for me. But that doesn’t mean I have to make it “the issue” for you, unless you claim you’re also a Believer. Then we have some talking to do. Right wingers have gone so overboard on these two issues alone that the rest of what I just spelled out gets completely ignored. What homosexual would ever want to be a part of a group that hated him or her, despite their leanings towards conservatism in other areas? This is what I believe the solution is to give many of these issues back to States. It would resolve some of the contention and anger and allow us to focus on the more political issues at hand nationally. There have to be plenty of homosexuals that believe in the things we believe in. But when we try to force down their throats things like a “marriage act” it does nothing but further divide us. Abortion can be overturned by merely educating people and showing them real actual abortions taking place. Few could watch one and not change their views on the issue. Marriages can be defined as two people that love each other and for those of us that Believe homosexuality is wrong, we can preach that on the streets and in our churches in loving fashion. But we can all be Americans no matter what and even share in the same conservative values. After all, isn’t it is conservatives that claim we want government out of our lives? Hmm.

I know the future of America looks very liberal…I mean… “progressive” but I believe if we educate people about our political and financial views instead of focusing on the more touchy social views, that more and more people would see in the end that conservatism gives Americans of all walks the best opportunity to succeed and gives our kid the future we all want them to have.

We will see.

Until 2016 or sometime down the road, if ever. Peace.

One Final WrapUp - Change is Needed in the GOP

After this week’s shocking election results, most of us conservatives entered a state of full blown political depression and numbness. Some have been asking me what I think happened. I too have spent the last few days trying to figure out. This is my final wrap if you will.

Let’s face it. Romney didn’t just lose. He got his arse kicked. 332-206. Ouch. It was 2008 all over again. Actually, McCain got more conservative votes than Romney did which I still find so unreal.

As I stated in my last post, I am done with political activism for a long time. I’m sure I’ll pop up in 2016 but for now, let Obama and his peeps have what they want. I’m too tired to care. The only hope we really have now is to overturn many Senate seats in 2014 to shorten the damage. But, if we nominate over-the-top right winged candidates that make stupid comments like Akins and Mourdock did this go around, that won’t end well either.

But I did want to offer my thoughts on what happened, why and what needs to happen if conservatives ever want to win the White House again. I will keep it simple and to the point.

1. The GOP enthusiasm wasn’t as expected. Though Obama had 10 million less votes than in 2008, more than 3,000,000 conservatives didn’t vote for Romney. More than likely a lot of these were Ron Paul supporters and Tea Partiers. Others were just GOPers who didn’t buy into the Romney campaign. Well, thanks guys but now we all get Obama for 4 more years. Good job.

2. Our culture is no longer a majority “center-right” country. There are more getting handouts than don’t. As Rush Limbaugh said we are fighting against “Santa”. Most of these people are also extremely uneducated politically, yet they vote. In its current form, the GOP offers nothing attractive to most of them.

3. Romney wussed out after the 1st debate and let Obama get away with taking all of the momentum from him. He had the chance to hammer Obama on numerous issues but tried to be nice and instead came across as a distant rich guy. His game plan failed. People liked the aggressive in-your-face Obama more.

4. After election polls and focus groups make it clear that the GOP better change or we may never win the Presidential election again.

Number 4 above is the most important. There are some glaring issues that we must be honest in hearing and accepting. If we don’t address them and change our methods, we will never see another conservative President. We have to change in the following ways.

- Immediately, the GOP needs to work with the Democrats and give Obama and his team what they want with some things in exchange of course. If they remain hard lined and unwilling, it will mean the end of us in 2014 and again in 2016. Give them what they want, let them fall on their own sword and they will then own 100% of their own failures. Nominate the right candidate in 2016 and it will be over.

- Voters viewed Romney as a nice but distant, old rich, white guy. Same as McCain, Bush and Bush before him. This is the “establishment” candidate at its finest. This establishment refuses to think we live in a different day. Well, we do. People today are not like people 10 years ago much less 40 years ago. Politics are different. If we keep nominating rich, old, white dudes, we are going to keep losing. We can't be arrogant and assume people will come back around. Our culture has changed and if we don't change to work within that culture we are toast. And, we can do this without becoming like them either. I hear people making that argument and it's just dumb.

- We need a candidate that is younger, not rich, more relational and more like the common voter. The voters like a younger, more relational, “cool” candidate. We had some of these in the conservative world this go around, but instead we ended up with the 2008 runner-up.

- Ron Paul and Tea Party followers better find a way to come together instead of dividing us or it will get even worse.

- Right-winged, vocal Christian candidates with their faith and beliefs on their sleeves are a big problem. The non-believing voter doesn’t want to hear it and certainly not if they open their mouths about it every single day. We have to be smart. Wise as serpents and gentles as doves. Candidates need to keep it under wrap, until AFTER they win! Duh!

- We need to change our language and words. The Democrats never call themselves “liberals” anymore. They are now “progressives”. Capitalism is a bad word nowadays. Reword some of our concepts.

- Our negativity and condescending attitudes towards the liberals on social media and the like are killing us. I’m the biggest sinner in this regard. We have to be about convincing and educating people about conservative values and how THEY can benefit from them if they would just listen. But who is going to listen when we just called them idiots, morons or libtards and attacked their President every hour of the day?

- Consider ideas like “we aren’t the anti-gay party who has to push a marriage act”. Consider saying “we aren’t going to endorse it either way” our focus is conservative government issues, not how you live your lives. Be the party that seeks to give the powers back to the States for these types of social issues, etc. We don’t have to compromise all of our principles, but we need to modernize how we explain and promote them to a degree, unless we just never want to be in power again.

All we need are about 2% more of the votes and we win every time. Conservative values still have a big place. The reality is who doesn’t want these things:

- Less government intrusion in your life
- Lower taxes
- More jobs
- Strong military
- Protection of the Constitution
- Lower gas prices
- Protection of life
- Religious freedom
- Fewer regulations

But when people feel like they would have to join the angry, mean, rich, anti-gay, better-be-a-Christian party, they turn back to the other side. Plain and simple.

We have potential in people like Santorum, Ryan, Rubio, Christie, West, and others. We must nominate and all get behind a young, relational, cool, true conservative candidate regardless if they are Jesus reincarnated. If we don’t, our conservative days will be left to wining local and state races only.

Time will tell if I am right or wrong, but I believe I am very right. We will see.

See you in a few years…if I see promise with the above occurring.

America Speaks - Obama Stopped In His Tracks

Hyper-liberalism has run its course and the American people have put it where it belongs. On the path to nowhere.

Millions of voters made it clear in historic proportions in every state. We want less spending, more jobs in the private sector, less taxes, Obamacare repealed, better national security and smaller government.

By winning the House, nearly all Governor races and a de facto win in the Senate with more seats, Obama will now have to decide.

Will Obama remain an idealist or will he be more pragmatic like Clinton did in 1994 and reinvent himself? Either way, conservatism wins.

It was a good, good night for our amazing country. The stage is set for 2012.

Peace out.

Obama's Flip List is Getting Huge

For someone who promotes "change", he sure does enough of it!

Check out this Obama Flip-Flop list provided by the Boston Globe and you tell me if this is the man that should lead our nation. Seems to me he is just trying to do what all politicians do - get votes, which means he is really no different than all of those before him.

Obama's Top Ten Flip Flops

1. SPECIAL INTERESTS. In January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton and John Edwards as "special interest" money. Obama changed his tune as he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and says he is "thrilled" by their support.

2. THE CUBA EMBARGO. In January 2004, Obama said it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba" because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it is "an important inducement for change."

3. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a Jan. 31, 2008, televised debate, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation."

4. DECRIMINALIZATION OF MARAJUANA. While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the Oct. 30, 2007, presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana.

5. NAFTA. During the primary season, Obama hammered Hillary Clinton for her support of NAFTA as First Lady, calling the free trade agreement "devastating" and "a big mistake." Now, in an interview with Fortune to be featured in the magazine's upcoming issue, the presumptive Democratic nominee said that NAFTA has indeed been positive for the US in some ways, and that his earlier criticism - while trying to convince white blue collar voters in some states to vote for him - was 'overheated and amplified.'

6. THE DEATH PENALTY. Ten years ago, when Obama was running for statewide office in an ultra-liberal Chicago district, he opposed the death penalty. As Obama announced this week, he now supports the ultimate penalty.

7. HANDGUN BAN. For 8 years--before becoming a US Senator--Obama sat on the board of a non-profit which contributed $2.7 million to efforts advocating for a complete ban on handguns. (Before that, Obama filled out a questionnaire in 1996 stating that he supported a ban on the manufacture, sale AND POSSESSION of handguns.) But starting with his primary campaign in the gun popular Midwest, Obama now opposes such legislation, and claims to support gun owner's rights.

8. PROPOSED FISA LAW IMMUNITY FOR TELECOMS. In October, 2007, Obama pledged that if the FISA bill contained an immunity provision for telecoms, he would not only oppose the bill, he would help block it through a filibuster. This week, he voted for the bill, telecom immunity provisions and all.

9. PUBLIC FINANCING FOR OBAMA'S GENERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN. In November, 2007, Obama issued a written pledge to opt into the public campaign finance system for the general presidential election, if the Republican nominee also did so. John McCain immediately accepted the pledge, which acceptance Obama acknowledged in writing in November 2007. After he became the Republican nominee, McCain opted into the public finance system (as he pledged to do), but Obama broke his pledge and opted out.

10. THE WAR IN IRAQ. In 2004--when Obama was running for the United States Senate-- Barack Obama not only said that he was open to a U.S. troop increase in Iraq, but warned against a premature troop withdrawal as a "slap in the face to the troops fighting there" which could make Iraq "an extraordinary hotbed of terrorist activity." Fast forward to Obama's presidential campaign premised in large part on an immediate withdrawal from Iraq.

These 10 examples evince 180 degree changes by the Senator from Chicago on fundamental issues going to the core of Obama as a candidate, and provide important indications of whether the "change" candidate will do what he promises to do in the campaign to court our votes.

Legitimate questions are also raised as to whether Obama is accurately portraying himself during the election process, or is he simply feinting to the middle like the good basketball player he is? How many more Obama flip-flops can we expect before November 2008, and to what extent can the "change" candidate continue to portray himself a different kind of politician who rejects "politics as usual"?

Also another note. While he has flip flopped on many issues Barack Obama has had to backtrack on foreign policy issues, just recently on Jerusalem. He tried to outdo John McCain at AIPAC by insisting that Jerusalem remain the undivided capital of Israel. The Palestinians erupted in anger at that statement, and by the end of the day they had Obama backpedaling...not sure if its a flip flop.

Oh Momma, Please Not Obama

We seriously need to be praying about this election. I spent 2 hours last night reading about this guy and listening to the debate he had with Hillary. This guy is smooth and people are following him like the dumb sheep the Bible says humans can be like.

This is a very serious deal for us as a nation. Read his plans for healthcare which will destroy businesses like mine and ruin the best healthcare system in the world. Then read his incredible statements about his views on faith. He uses flowery speach to promote his ideas and get people to follow him blindly just like Hitler did. This is VERY scary for us as Americans.

Remember, whatever his plans are if he is elected WILL be approved because the Dems control the HOUSE and the SENATE right now.

We have to be very involved in this election to ensure they do not win! The moral landscape of the nation is at hand, with a man who claims he can solve about 100 issues. How are people so dumb to believe a guy who has done NOTHING!!! (more on that coming soon)

He says we need to get away from being specific about what we believe when we speak in public since in our world today we have a "pluralistic society". This is from his website: Senator Obama also laid down principles for how to discuss faith in a pluralistic society, including the need for religious people to translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values during public debate.

This is right from the PDF listed on his own website and it is even worse...

"Whatever we once were, we are no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of non-believers." - Barack Obama

Scary stuff my friends. He spins it so that people respond with support rooted in ignorance. People are falling for this junk like flies too. He sounds like a copy-kat version of Martin Luther King Jr.

I believe most are supporting him because of two reasons - he is black and he gives rousing speaches. Surely we are not that stupid...

I cannot believe the supposed Christian leaders that appear to be endorsing this guy. He calls these three specifically good friends. Rick Warren (I think he is getting influcened by new age thinking any way), TD Jakes (no shocker there as he does not even preach the true Word) and author Tony Campolo (this one was a shocker).

I guess it is time we get onn the McCain train and hope he brings along Huckabee or someone with some real values. We have a BIG fight ahead of us. This Obama guy is even beating the Clinton Express and a year ago no one thought that was possible!
